What Is The Process Of Dental Veneers?
Hi, My name is Dr Fong, and I’m one of the gentle dentists here at Dental House Group in Melbourne.
Yesterday, one of our long term patients, Linda from Bacchus Marsh, came in and saw us regarding a smile makeover. Together we decided to have porcelain veneers done and as we are going through the process with her, I thought it might be a good idea to make a short video about it, just in case you are also thinking about upgrading your smile with dental veneers.
If your teeth and gum are healthy, a digital impression and photos are taken. These are for the digital design of your smile and treatment planning. Every case is unique and we will always plan your veneers that suit your smile and are in harmony with your face.
At the second appointment, we will do a wax-up of the planned veneers onto your smile and more photos are taken to cross-check with the digital plan. Based on your feedback, we will adjust accordingly to make sure you are 100% happy and comfortable with how they will look.
After this, we will start the preparation of your teeth. As veneers are super thin, often the preparations do not take too long. Once your teeth are prepared, we will put your temporary veneers back on for a few weeks. This is what we call a veneers trial period. You will be wearing these trial veneers while our technician handcrafts your veneers. This way you can test your smile just like a test drive.
At the final visit, the trial veneers will be removed and your porcelain veneers will be placed on your smile. We will make sure we are all happy with all the porcelain veneers before the final cementation.
Once this is done, you can eat and smile confidently without any downtime.
I hope this gives you a better understanding of the process of porcelain veneers. If you are considering upgrading your smile with veneers, we would love to help. Here at Dental House Group, we have done thousands of dental veneers over the years, so you will be in experienced hands. Simply give us a call on 1800 467 526, direct message us on social media, or complete the form on our website, and we will help you organise your consultation.
See you in the next video.
