By the time his breakout movie Risky Business came along in 1983 and Top Gun three years later his teeth were notably straighter. The story of his smile doesn’t end in the 1980s – in 2002, he famously sported ceramic braces to the premier of his film Minority Report. It embedded in our psyche that there is no reason for adults to not have an orthodontist straighten their teeth. Of course he has a “Hollywood smile”. In his earliest films, his smile is far from the movie star smile it is today. Cruise fixed his teeth with a combination of ceramic braces and Invisalign.
Love him or loathe him, Invisalign allowed Justin Bieber to perform worldwide, free of bulky brackets and wires while his teeth were under treatment. Invisalign helped maintain his pop star image, not only because of its invisibility, but because of wearing it for 22 hours a day, it was necessary that his singing and speech not be affected.

As one of the most well known philanthropist of her time, Oprah Winfrey has been candid about many things over her 35-years of talk show TV. Although the billionaire has never spoken about it, she has been spotted on air using Invisalign. She is an excellent example of how this innovative treatment makes it easy to remain in a professional environment without drawing attention to what has us feel less confident. Though Winfrey has never disclosed her chosen dental therapy, over her decades of public conversations she has certainly admitted that she had never liked the look of her natural teeth.
Chris Rock reportedly spent $US150 000 on dental work after the 1997 film Lethal Weapon. Although the gap between his front teeth was a recognisable feature, his earnings allowed him to invest in the lifelong smile he wanted. Had Invisalign been a proven treatment at the time, he too may have joined the celebrity list of users.
