Can You Replace a Tooth With a Dental Implant Immediately After Extraction?
Can You Replace a Tooth With a Dental Implant Immediately After Extraction?
Hi, Dr Linda here from Melton Dental House.
So, you’re wondering if it’s possible to get a tooth extracted and replaced with an implant in the same procedure? The answer is usually yes, but there are a few things we need to check first. Let me explain!
First up, we need to assess your bone structure. If you’ve got enough healthy bone, we can go ahead and place the implant right away. But if there’s not enough bone, we might need to do a bone graft first. That would mean a few months of healing before we can place the implant. Also, if there’s a significant infection, we’ll need to treat that before moving forward, to make sure everything heals properly. Without proper preparation, we risk implant failure, so we always make sure we’re doing things the right way.

But if your teeth and overall oral health are in good shape, immediate implant placement can be a great option for a smooth transition.
So, if you need a tooth or even multiple teeth removed and want to explore getting implants placed at the same time, we can definitely help. We’ve also got a range of payment plans available to make the process easier.
Just send us a DM or call us at 1800GENTLE to book your complimentary consultation. We’re here to help!
